Book Title and Author(s): The Tortoise and the Hare by Aesop

Summary: In this fable, there is a race between two unequal characters, one being a Tortoise, and the other being a Hare. The Hare believes that there is no chance the Tortoise can ever beat him in a race. The Hare becomes overconfident and decides to take a nap in the middle of the race. The Tortoise never stopped, and he ended up winning the race.

Moral: “Slow and steady wins the race”

Favorite Part: My favorite part of this fable is when the Tortoise ends up winning the race. It reminds me to never give up, no matter what. Sometimes, slow and steady wins the race. Going at your own pace is not a bad thing.

Recommendation: I recommend this fable to everyone. It includes a very valuable lesson that everyone can learn from. The saying, “slow and steady can win the race” can be used in school, at work, around friends and family, etc. It also teaches you to never be overconfident.
