This is a realistic fiction story about a dog named Winn-Dixie

===== Summary =====
Opal walks out of the Winn-Dixie supermarket with a dog that she names Winn-Dixie. Because of Winn-Dixie, her father tells her ten things about her absent mother. Opal spends the summer thinking about her mom and collecting stories about her new friends that she meets because of Winn-Dixie. She learns that friendship and forgiveness can come out of nowhere.

My favorite part of the book is when she goes to the supermarket and walk out with a dog and names the dog Winn-Dixie after the supermarket where she got the dog.

I would recommend this book because it is a heartwarming engaging story that helps ope up discussion about friendship, kindness, inclusion, and forgiveness.
