Book Title and Author: The Outsiders, by S. E. Hinton Introduce the book: This is a realistic fiction book that’s intended for young teens to read.
Summary: The story focuses around Pony-boy, his two older brothers, and their gang. The boys are orphans and try their best to stick together in their lower-class neighborhood, known as the East Side. This gang of working-class tough street boys called the Greasers.
Favorite Part: My favorite was when the church was burning down and Pony-boy and Johnny act quickly and put their lives in danger.
Recommendation: This is a book for young teens. This book could be read by both boys and girls but mostly relates to middle and lower class teen boys.
