======= Book Title ======= The Ant and The Grasshopper by Dert ====== Introduce the Book ===== This book is about an Ant and Grasshopper passing trails in Central Park. ===== Summary ===== An Ant is stocking food up for the winter in Central Park. When a Grasshopper passes him and asks him why he can't just hang out like him instead of lugging food around. Ant explained he needs to stock up for the winter or they'll be no food for them to eat when it gets cold. Some months go by and Grasshopper is freezing and hungry with no food. He thinks back on his experience with Ant and learns and understands he needs to be prepared in life. ==== Share Your Favorite Part ==== I really like the message of this book, especially regarding what is going on in the world right now. Being prepared is really important. Being prepared can apply in the realms of studying for a test, doing homework on time, having stock piles of food in case we have a global pandemic, etc. Readiness and being prepared is a great lesson to teach young minds. ==== Give a Recommendation ==== This is a great book, with a great message and cool graphics. Although, I wish it was a little longer. This is definitely a book for kindergarten. Overall, I like the message so I would recommend this book for ages 3-5.
